When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted. Why not end the week sharing some good news! Meet Lisa Wenzler, Danceworks’ marketing manager and the person responsible for our graphic design, social media, e-blasts and much more. People ask me all the time who designs our materials—well, here she is.
When I first thought about bringing our design in-house, the expense of the appropriate computer and software needs quickly added up and I changed my mind. Then I got a call from Jerry Rubin, the husband of a faithful donor and patron, Pat Frost. He had just recently downsized his business and was giving away what we needed. What a great day that was—we were now ready to turn Lisa from freelancer to staffer! We’ve been moving fast ever since, as you can tell from all the inventive work she produces each week—from Danceworks’ website, to our Facebook posts, to all of our printed materials.
And Jerry’s gifts have kept coming. Here is the almost-brand-new 27″ iMac computer that Jerry donated last week.
You realize how special the gift is seeing Lisa’s postcard design for our upcoming concert Intersect (Nov 15-24) beside the computer she used to work on. We couldn’t be more grateful! After all, it’s the work Lisa does that gets Danceworks’ program and performance information into your hands.
So… from Jerry to Lisa to you, we are able to keep you in the know about Danceworks. Thank you, Jerry and Pat!
And just a little more great news..
We were fortunate enough to find the help of a wonderful new marketing intern, Bryan Michaels. He has volunteered his services to Danceworks just because he likes us. Bryan has a degree in Public Relations from UW-Milwaukee and has worked with Zizzo Group, among other local companies.
Welcome, Bryan, we’re so happy to have you join our team—and thank you, too!
Welcome to the Danceworks blog, where we're hoping to share a little bit more about the heart and soul behind Danceworks… what made us join the dance and keeps us dancing, what keeps us inspired, and where we can share some of the stories worth telling.
