In-Studio, Virtual, & Pre-Recorded Class Options

No matter how you’d like to take your class, we’ve got something for you!

In-Studio Classes (S)

We’re back in the studio and staying safe by checking temperatures, social distancing, wearing masks, and keeping things clean! Classes need to be registered for at least 2 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. Class sizes will be kept small to keep our students safe. Registrations are required. Walk-up registrations will not be allowed. Students are asked to limit the items they bring with them to the studio to a water bottle and purse/dance bag. There will be specific places in the studio to put these items. Please label your child’s water bottle with their name.

Virtual (Zoom) Classes (Z)

Take Zoom classes from the comfort of your home. Classes need to be registered for at least 2 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. Students will be emailed a link approximately 1 hour before a class begins.

Pre-Recorded Classes (P)

Pre-recorded classes are accessible for 24 hours. To purchase a pre-recorded class, go to our weekly virtual class schedule, and buy it as you would with any of our other virtual classes. The link for the video will be emailed to you the day of the class. Classes are marked with the expiration.

Registration & Payment Policies:

  • Danceworks has a strict no-refund policy. In the event that we are no longer able to hold in-person and outdoor classes, we will transition all programming to a virtual format and any tuition paid will be applied to virtual programming.
  • Youth students who withdraw from class midyear are not obligated to pay any remaining balance, however, any payments made will not be refunded.
  • Refunds are not given for missed classes and students are encouraged to make up missed classes. This includes classes canceled due to inclement weather. Please consult with you/your child’s instructors on what class would be most appropriate as a make-up class.
  • Danceworks has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 including limiting class capacities. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-serve basis online at Danceworksmke.org
  • Waiver/Release: All youth and adult students must have a signed waiver on file. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.

Please contact Danceworks Director of Education, Amy Brinkman, at abrinkman@danceworksmke.org with any questions or concerns.

Mask Policy Update

MASK POLICY UPDATES
Masks will be optional for both youth and adult classes. We will adhere to the CDC guidelines as they relate to COVID cases in our area. Danceworks reserves the right to change our policy on mask wearing at any time to ensure the safety of our staff, faculty and students.

While masks will be optional, any individual who feels more comfortable wearing a mask is encouraged to do so. Please also be reminded that you should:

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well.
  • Get tested if you are having any Covid symptoms and contact us if you have a positive test result. We will notify students if they’ve been exposed to Covid, however, information on where the exposure came from will remain confidential.

Our sincere thanks to our students and families for their cooperation and understanding during these unprecedented times. We will continue to keep you informed as we navigate the next steps in the coming days and weeks ahead.

FAQs

Have a few questions? Check out these FAQs about our virtual and in-studio adult classes:

  • What if a class I want to take is already full? If a class is full you can add you/your child to the class waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified by phone.
  • What if I purchase a virtual class and the class is about to start and I do not have the class link? After checking your spam folder, reach out to us in a private message on Facebook or email info@danceworksmke.org and we’ll do our best to get the link to you asap.
  • When will I receive a link for a pre-recorded class that I purchased? A link will be emailed to you approximately one hour before the class was advertised to be available. Pre-recorded classes are accessible for 24 hours from the day it was scheduled.
  • What happens if I register for a class and then can’t make it to the class? Danceworks has a no refund policy. If you pre register for a class using a class card, weekly/monthly pass, or pay for it as a single class, you will be charged for the class. This policy is in place due to the very limited capacity we have for each class.
  • Why don’t I get Danceworks emails with class information? Make sure we have your most updated contact information. Is it possible that you might have unsubscribed from our emails?  This might be another reason why you haven’t heard from us. If so, no worries- we can add you back on. Please email lwenzler@danceworksmke.org with any questions regarding our mailing list.
  • Does Danceworks take walk-in registrations? Due to COVID-19, we are limiting our class sizes and all registrations must be made at least 2 hours before a class is scheduled to begin to ensure we do not exceed our capacities.

Our students are an important part of Danceworks and their safety is our first priority. As we reopen we will be implementing procedures to create a safe environment for our students, staff, and faculty. Click here to read more!
