SESSION III YOUTH & ADULT CLASSES
Session III: February 22 – May 29, 2021

Please Note:

  • Youth registration closed as of March 10, 2021.
  • Adult students are able to enroll for classes as their schedules allow.

    ALL classes must be registered for online at least 2 hours in advance of the class start time. Space is limited so register early! Classes which do not meet their minimum enrollment may be cancelled.

SUNDAY FAMILY FUN DAYS
April 11 (In-studio or virtual)
Art: 10:30-11:45am / Dance: 12-1pm
For families with children ages 5+

$20 for your choice of the art or dance workshop for up to 3 family members
$35 for both the art and dance workshops for up to 3 family members

April 11: Aliens in April
Let yourself “space out” on the dance floor and create a friendly little alien.

K-POP WORKSHOP
Saturdays 5-6pm (In-studio or virtual)
April 3, 17, 24 (spring break on 4/10)
All regular adult pricing options apply.

This genre of music, originating in South Korea, has taken the world by storm and has gained popularity on various music charts. K-Pop Dance Covers emerged around 2011 as part of the cultural storm of Korean pop culture. K-Pop cover videos have become one of the highest forms of tribute that fans use to honor and support their favorite artists. In this workshop series, you will learn choreography from popular Korean artists, BTS and others.

Switching to Virtual Class: Students can move to a virtual class at any time. For assistance with that, call our office at (414) 277-8480 or send an email. When making a switch from one format to another, we appreciate as much notice as possible.

Inclement Weather Reminder: Any class cancellations will be announced on local news channels 4 & 12, social media, and on the outgoing voice message. Missed classes due to an inclement weather cancellation can be made up in another class by contacting us here. No refunds will be issued for any classes canceled due to inclement weather.

Air Purification in the Studio: Horsch and Miller graciously donated and installed a Plasma Pure ionizer air purifying system, ensuring that the air in our studio is effectively recirculated and purified!

Danceworks Performance MKE (DPMKE), along with Danceworks Youth Performance Company and dancers from the 50+ Performance Workshop will present the third in a four-part dance-for-camera series, Winter of Gratitude, inspired by the John Michael Kohler Art Center’s exhibit, Tokens of Appreciation. This fully virtual dance performance series is filmed and edited by veteran DPMKE artist and filmmaker Christal Wagner, with original music by Milwaukee composer, Lawton Hall*. Featuring 32 intergenerational dancers, spanning 7 decades and lifetimes of experience, the heart of this project is to share stories of gratitude, connect generations and build a stronger community.
