We need YOU! Join our Danceworks team by volunteering as an usher at one of our many performances, supporting our community programming, or lending a hand with various administrative projects.
By volunteering, you can be the driving force that connects creativity and community through dance and other arts. Danceworks is truly thankful for the support and time given by all of our volunteers who help us fulfill our mission daily.

Danceworks is currently seeking dancers who would like to work at our Water Street studio in an hour-for-hour exchange for classes.
Danceworks is in need of a group of adults to assist our Tap Shoe Coordinator in repairing broken tap shoes for the Mad Hot program. Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap impacts over 2,000+ Milwaukee students each year. Danceworks provide over 1,000 pairs of tap shoes to every student and classroom teacher involved in the tap portion of the program. We are so proud to provide this program to our community, but with it comes the burden of maintaining over a thousand pairs of tap shoes to make them like-new again for each annual program.
A brief training will be provided at the start of this volunteer project. If you or your organization is interested in volunteering for this project at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, please email Angela Weidner, our Development Programs Coordinator. We can set up a date and time that works best for you!
