Danceworks Performance Company kicked off the 2017-18 season with a wild night of dance, comedy and guest choreography… provided by the audience! Guest improvisers Jason Powell and Andrea Moser joined Danceworks Performance Company in an entertaining evening of audience suggestions, ad-libbing limbs and general hilarity. The audience filled in the blanks to determine what happened next, and watched as dances develop, unfold, come to a moment of heightened suspense – or brilliantly crash and burn!

Mad Li(m)bs’ collaboration with Andrea Moser and Jason Powell was sponsored by Jane Lewis and Mickey Maier.

A coalition of empowered women from all walks of life came together to dance diverse styles from a variety of perspectives. Danceworks Performance Company shared the stage with other inspiring, eclectic dancing women from the Milwaukee community. Sarah Wilbur, founding Artistic Director of Danceworks Performance Company, returned to the city to remount Disclosure Tactics, a dance for herself and 19 women, that asked the question – why do we dance? Another force to be reckoned with, the vibrant women of Panadanza Dance Company performed dances of Latin America and led a Brazilian Samba lesson, and Friday and Saturday’s https://onhealthy.net/product/xenical/ performances featured guest musical performances by Cadance Collective and Earthstrong Women’s Collective! Women and men alike celebrated the Women Who Dance! Click here for guest artist bios.

A Maker Fair also highlighted women-owned businesses including Alice’s Garden Urban Farm, Gujja Ting African Art, Judy Zoelzer Levine Arts Quilts, Milwaukee Dance Theatre Network, Mother Maker Blog, Annelise Pollard (visual artist), and Happy Heart Arts!
