Sending a big #thankyou to our longtime partner, Bader Philanthropies, Inc.
Bader Philanthropies is one of Danceworks' biggest champions. They support both our Danceworks Mad Hot Rhythm and Danceworks Generations programs! This year, with their support, we are connecting youth and elders in our community through pen pals, dance-o-grams, as well as in-person, virtual & pre-recorded arts/dance classes. Thanks for keeping us connected, Bader Philanthropies!

We are back with another #WhyDanceWednesday 👯‍♀️👏

This week, psychotherapist and Danceworks student, Patricia Gallagher Marchant, shares some beautiful thoughts about movement & the body. Read on for more & then share with us why you dance in the comments below 👇

"Some days our minds wander and our bodies are waiting for our attention. Will we come back to the beauty of movement as we know it to be? Walking our dogs, ourselves, stretching liberally, letting a song inspire an impromptu dance in our kitchens, our living rooms, our bedrooms.

Dance carries us forward into our days no matter where we are or how we feel. Dance reminds us that we each have a miraculous body that responds to our tender loving care and invites us to notice, to be, to expand as we are. Every day, thankfully, every day, if we choose to listen." -Patrivia Gallagher Marchant, Psychotherapist and DW Student
