Youth Classes

Although things are uncertain right now, one thing’s for sure– Danceworks is here to keep you moving! Check out all the different options we offer to keep you dancing and find the one (or two) that are best for you! Session III kicks off on Monday, February 22, 2021. Explore our different classes organized by age below and register for your child’s spot today. In-studio & virtual options available. Youth class registration for Session 3 closes on March 10, 2021.

2020-21 Session Dates for Youth & Adults:

Session I: September 14- November 22, 2020 (no classes Nov 23-29)
Session II: November 30, 2020-February 21, 2021 (Winter break, Dec 21-Jan 3. Classes resume Jan 4)
Session III: February 22-May 29, 2021 (Spring break: April 5 -April 11, classes resume April 12)

When viewing the schedule of available classes in each category, make sure you navigate to the correct date to register for spring classes (our system defaults to the current date). Session III begins February 22, 2021!

Don’t see a class in the format you’d like? Our goal is to make all of our classes available to everyone. Most youth and adult classes that meet in-studio can also be live-streaming. Contact Danceworks Director of Education, Amy Brinkman for more information.

No matter how you’d like to take your class, we’ve got something for you!

In-Studio Classes (S)

We’re back in the studio and staying safe by checking temperatures, social distancing, wearing masks, and keeping things clean! Class sizes will be kept small to keep our students safe. Students are asked to limit the items they bring with them to the studio to a water bottle and purse/dance bag. There will be specific places in the studio to put these items. Please label your child’s water bottle with their name.

Virtual (Zoom) Classes (Z)

Take Zoom classes from the comfort of your home. Students will be emailed a link approximately 1 hour before a class begins.

Class Rates

We would like to highly encourage one to have a credit card on file so that they can easily make purchases and if in-person, make paying for a water or pair of shoes easier. Thank you!

Youth Class Rates:

Session I & II (10 weeks): $140/session

Session III (13 weeks): $182/session
**Youth students must sign up for entire session. Includes virtual & in-studio classes.

Make-up classes: Due to COVID-19 and our limited class capacities, youth students will only be allowed to make up missed clases with pre-approval. Contact info@danceworksmke.org or call (414)277-8480 to check on availability to make up a class in-person or to arrange to get a link for a virtual class that can be used as a makeup class.

Registration & Payment Policies:

Danceworks has a strict no-refund policy. In the event that we are no longer able to hold in-person and outdoor classes, we will transition all programming to a virtual format and any tuition paid will be applied to virtual programming.
Youth students who withdraw from class midyear are not obligated to pay any remaining balance, however, any payments made will not be refunded.
Refunds are not given for missed classes and students are encouraged to make up missed classes. This includes classes canceled due to inclement weather. Please consult with you/your child’s instructors on what class would be most appropriate as a make-up class.
Danceworks has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 including limiting class capacities. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-serve basis online at Danceworksmke.org
Waiver/Release: All youth and adult students must have a signed waiver on file. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
