We are zooming through 2020! As we work towards an even better experience for our students, we have added a LOT of exciting opportunities to our virtual platform! We’ve added more classes and instructors to our schedule. While a virtual dance class can never replace sharing physical space with one another, we hope that it allows for a more personal and tailored class experience for you. As with anything new, there will be a learning curve, and we hope you will navigate with us as we continue to build and improve upon our current offerings!
Danceworks is committed to keeping the community at large moving through dance and dance fitness classes through our Facebook page. Check out our archived FB LIVE classes offered at no cost, but — for those who have the means — pay as you are able.
More Youth Classes:
Virtual classes are convenient but, you can’t always get the feedback you need. Now you can schedule a virtual one on one session with one of our professional instructors to ask questions and work on techniques specific to you. Small groups of up to 3 dancers can also be scheduled.
Sessions can be arranged around your schedule and are available in a wide range of dance styles and levels. All private sessions are with a qualified member of the Danceworks faculty who specializes in the dance style requested. Lesson material is based on your individual needs and moves at a pace that is comfortable for you. Private lessons can be scheduled as a single class or on an ongoing basis.

Studies show that employees demonstrate greater productivity, less burnout, and more focus following a mindfulness practice. Let Danceworks provide this service to your business through our virtual wellness classes!
The goal of these classes will be to bring a sense of well-being and rejuvenation to your employees as they work from home. Classes can be offered at the start of day, lunchtime, or end of the day. Class styles include Gentle Stretch, Guided Meditation, or Barre Workout. Hoping for a different style? Let us know and we can work with you to customize a class for your employees.
If you or your business is interested in joining us for a virtual minfulness class, please contact Danceworks Director of Engagement, Kim Johnson, via email.
Interested in learning more about choreography? Dive into the creative dancemaking process with Gina Laurenzi, Artistic Manager of Youth Programs! Adventures in Dancemaking segments are short videos (2-5 minutes) intended as a fun peek into the creative process, where students can expect to learn more about choreography and the dancemaking process. These videos are offered at no cost.
DISCLAIMER: Dance can be a strenuous activity/art form. Please know that if you choose to participate in our classes and other video presentations, you are responsible for making sure you have adequate space and proper surfaces to avoid injury.
It is also very important to listen to your body, participate at your own pace and modify it as necessary as we are not there and able to observe.
