Danceworks Design Contest!

Posted on by Danceworks News

Congratulations to our winner, Breanne R.!

“The idea behind the painting was to use danceworks’ theme colors to communicate the inclusivity and positive environment that the studio creates. All ages and bodies and welcome into the joyful community, which is something that everyone involved at the studio loves.” -Breanne R.

A huge thanks and shout-out to all of our artists and their submissions:

“I am 26 and dancing and painting/drawing is two of my favorite things to do so I knew I definitly needed to create something for this contest. I wanted to showcase how dance is for everyone and everyone can dance! It can really lift your spirits in these crazy times and even heroes dance!”- Lauren

We invite designers of all ages to submit a piece of art into our Danceworks Design Contest!

The chosen art piece will be featured in our fall studio marketing! See your work on our printed brochure or postcard cover, in our print and/or online advertising, and/or showcased in our social media! Think outside the box – collage, mixed media, paint, chalk, photography – you pick the method! Here’s your direction – use your design to communicate joy, health and creativity (all part of Danceworks’ mission!) All submissions will be shared on Danceworks’ social media leading up to the start of our fall session.

The fine print: All entries must be submitted to Danceworks’ Design & Advertising Manager Lisa Wenzler by Friday, May 1 at 5pm. Submissions can be photographed or scanned and emailed to Lisa. The winner will be selected by Danceworks administrative staff based on creativity, messaging and originality. Should participants range widely in age/ability, an adult winner and youth winner may be selected. Preferred format is landscape/horizontal. Feel free to use Danceworks’ brand color palette pictured below!

Good luck, designers! We can’t wait to see what you come up with…GO!
