Join our Danceworks team by volunteering as an usher at one of our many performances, supporting our community engagement programming, or lending a hand with various administrative projects. By volunteering, you can be the driving force that connects creativity and community through dance and other arts. Danceworks is truly thankful for the support and time given by all of our volunteers who help us fulfill our mission daily.

*Ushers may be needed up to one hour prior to the show’s start time, and will be able to see the performance free of charge.

Studio Volunteers

Studio Showcase Raffle Chair

Danceworks seeks a highly-motivated volunteer to serve as the 2018 Studio Showcase Raffle Chair. The volunteer Raffle Chair will work alongside Danceworks staff to plan and execute the raffle at Studio Showcase on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center. Please see the role description for complete details. Studio Showcase Parent Volunteers

Do you want to be more involved at this year’s Studio Showcase? Would you like to accompany your child backstage? We need parents and family members like you to volunteer at Danceworks’ 2018 Studio Showcase on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center. Email Danceworks Development and Volunteer Coordinator, Maggie Seer if interested.

 

Work-Study Program

Danceworks is currently seeking dancers who would like to work at our Water Street studio in an hour-for-hour exchange for classes.

Community Programs Volunteers
Mad Hot Tap Competition Volunteer

Every year hundreds of volunteers help us greet audiences and keep thousands of excited kids organized at the Danceworks Mad Hot Tap and Ballroom competitions. If you want to experience the energy, excitement and emotion behind the scenes at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, sign up as a volunteer!

 

Most volunteers are needed from 11:30am – 4:30pm on Thursday, January 25th, 2018 and will receive a limited edition t-shirt, two free Danceworks class cards, free parking and refreshments. Partial volunteer shifts are also available.

General Volunteers
Archiving Assistant
Have experience in an office setting? Looking to do volunteer work on your own time? Then this opportunity is for you! Danceworks is seeking a capable volunteer to assist with an archiving project that will include organizing, scanning, and file saving. Volunteer must be comfortable working on a computer and have knowledge of or be willing to learn how to use a scanning machine. Archiving can take place Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Please email your availability and experience to Maggie Seer.
