Performance Volunteers
Handel’s Bestiary Ushers:

Danceworks is seeking 4-6 confident and assertive volunteer ushers for each performance of Handel’s Bestiary: In Search of Animals in Handel’s Operas, held June 16-17, 2017. Ushers will need to arrive at Lynden Sculpture Garden (2145 W Brown Deer Rd) at 6pm for directions, and will help to usher performance patrons around the grounds throughout the performance. Ushers will be able to see the performance free of charge.

Studio Volunteers
Studio Showcase Volunteers:

This year, Danceworks’ annual Studio Showcase is entitled My MKE: The Magic of My City. Performed at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center (901 15th Ave), My MKE is an ode to our amazing city, featuring the sights and sounds of Milwaukee communicated through dance. We would like to invite you to play a role in this event (no dancing required!). Danceworks is looking for 3-4 volunteers for each of the following times on Saturday, June 10, 2017:

  • 10:00am
  • 1:00pm
  • 4:00pm
You will be collecting tickets, distributing programs and/or directing families toward the auditorium. In exchange for approximately one and a half hours of their time before and during a show, showcase volunteers are permitted to see the performance free of charge.

Community Involvement Volunteers
Tap Shoe Maintenance Required!

Now that Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom & Tap’s 2017 season is complete, we need your help maintaining our program materials – especially tap shoes! Danceworks is looking for several volunteers to repair tap shoes at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center (325 W Walnut St). Times and dates are flexible, so please include your availability.
