What’s the difference between Reserved Seating and General Admission?

  • Reserved Seating – you will have an assigned seat with your name posted on it; tickets that are purchased together will be seated together (advance purchase tickets only)
  • General Admission – open seating is first-come first-served (available for both advance purchase & walk-up tickets)

I’m running late. Will I still be able to attend the performance?

Late Arrival Policy: Advance purchase tickets guarantee seats will be held and guarantee admission as the performance allows. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. Reserved seat locations are not guaranteed past curtain time.

 

I’m running ahead of time. When can I come in and get a seat?

Doors open at least 20 minutes prior to curtain time, which is the time listed for each performance on our website. Prior to doors opening, we do have a waiting area with limited chairs, but please keep in mind that classes in our adjacent studios may still be in session and parents may be waiting in the shared lobby to pick up students.

 

Where do I park?

Parking in Danceworks’ adjacent lots is available all day on weekends, and after 5pm on weekdays. If it’s a weekend or after 5pm, please disregard “Do Not Park” signs on the Ogden (south) side of our lot. There is also limited visitor parking along the east side of the building.

 

Free street parking is available at all times in front of our building on Water St. as well as on nearby Jackson St., Van Buren St. and Brady St. Please check the City of Milwaukee website for any parking restrictions or additional updates.

 

Where is the entrance?

Danceworks Studio Theatre is located in the Northern Lights building. Our entry vestibule is located on the river side of the building – there is no Water Street entrance.

 

Where can I buy tickets or subscriptions?

Tickets for all Danceworks Performance Company, Danceworks Youth Performance Company, and Danceworks DanceLAB performances are available online or at the Danceworks front desk at our Water Street studio, 1661 N. Water Street, weekdays from 9am – 8pm or Saturdays from 9am – 2pm. Tickets to guest concerts are not always available for purchase in person, but tickets to every performance at the Danceworks Studio Theatre can always be purchased online.

 

Can I exchange my tickets?

Only Danceworks Performance Company Season Subscribers are offered free exchange privileges as part of their subscription. To exchange your tickets, please call the Danceworks Box Office at (414) 277-8480 x6025.

 

What happens in case of inclement weather?

If a performance is cancelled due to inclement weather, Danceworks will post a message on the outgoing message of the general voicemail at (414) 277-8480 (x6007), on the home page of the website at www.danceworksmke.org and on all social media. We will also attempt to contact all ticket holders for that performance via telephone and email, so please make sure your contact information is up to date when you purchase your tickets.
