Danceworks Studio Policies

• Refund Policy: Under no circumstances do we issue refunds. Individual concerns/situations can be directed to our Studio Director.

• No student may take class without a signed waiver. Students under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver on their behalf. A registration form/waiver form can be printed off here and brought in for the first day of class or signed on site on the first day of class.

• Class Cancellations: Danceworks reserves the right to cancel any class if the enrollment is insufficient. Any tuition paid can be transferred to another class, credited to a student’s account or refunded upon request. In the case of a single class being canceled due to inclement weather, a message will be left on Danceworks’ outgoing voicemail, and Channels 4 and 12 will post our information on their websites and during regular television programming. Students paid in full will be permitted to make up this class in another class within the same session, but no refunds will be issued.


• Making Up Classes: If a student who has paid in full or is on scholarship misses a class, he or she is able to make it up in another class of the same level and length. All make-ups must be completed before the end of the same session.

• In the event a credit is issued for a payment made, said credit will be valid for one year from the date of issue after which time the credit will expire. Credits are not automatic and must be requested.


• Registration Procedure: All registrations are processed on a first-come basis. Please be sure that all registrations are complete at the time of submission. Registration Confirmations will be sent via email or phone, except for registrations that are made over the phone.


• There is no parking weekdays before 5PM in the adjacent lots. Street parking is available in front of our building as well as on Jackson St., Van Buren St., and Brady St.


• No food or drink may be brought into the studio. Only water in closed plastic containers is acceptable.

• No street shoes may be worn on the studio floor. All shoes are to be removed before entering the dance studios.

• Always verify class schedule and space availability when registering for a class by stopping by or calling the studio. Classes not meeting minimum enrollment will be cancelled or combined with another (this especially applies to children's classes).

• All Monthly and Unlimited Dance Passes must be used in the session in which they are purchased. Class cards are valid for the session in which they are purchased and the session immediately following.

• Our children's dance and creative arts classes are designed to be sequential and developmentally appropriate. Pilates is also designed to be sequential. Students in children's classes must be paid in full; no class cards will be accepted.

• Please wait for your instructor to notify you when to enter the studio for the start of your class. Please DO NOT enter more than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of your class.

• Please turn off cell phones before your scheduled class begins.

• Danceworks Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen property while on the premises.

• Do NOT leave children unattended in the studio lobby. All children must be accompanied by an adult and upon approval of the instructor may sit in the studio on the provided benches or chairs.

• All phone calls made using the office phone are 35 cents. LOCAL CALLS ONLY.

• For UWM classes: Danceworks Inc. does not provide and is not responsible for any pens, pencils, or paper for classes.
