DPC 2

DPC 2 is Danceworks' Pre-Professional Repertory Company and internship training program for serious advanced-level dancers ages 16 through adult. The program includes a one-year commitment (September-August).

DPC 2 Includes:

• An Internship Scholarship that covers half the price of tuition for the 4 required classes for each of the three sessions, faculty mentoring, and provides Interns with an opportunity to perform small concerts and a culminating showcase concert. Interns are responsible for their portion of the tuition, payable in installments.
• A diverse class schedule set by Interns and the Artistic Director with a required minimum of 3 classes/week. DPC 2 Interns may take an unlimited amount of classes.
• Discounts: DPC 2 Company members receive discounts/complimentary tickets to the Danceworks Performance Company Season, Master Classes, and other opportunities.

DPC 2 Performance Commitments:

• Sessions 1-3 (September-May): weekly rehearsals, open showings, small venue showings, community participation, and a culminating final performance
• Session 4 (June-August, for returning Company Members): emphasis on attending classes and building technique, Pre-Professional Summer Dance Program workshops and open showings, and community performances

Auditions:

• DPC 2 auditions are held annually in August.
• Eligibility requirements for audition: acceptance and participation in the Pre-Professional Summer Dance Program or status as a returning DPC 2 Company Member. Returning Company Members are granted acceptance into the Summer Program without audition.

Please bring appropriate dancewear for a Modern/Rep class and a resume.
